| Thallus pale greenish brown, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata conspicuous, scattered, black, sessile, straight, curved or sinuous, often branched, with a conspicuous thalline margin, 1–5 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple thin, completely carbonised, becoming white-pruinose, very thin at the base. Hymenium 100–130 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, pale brown, muriform, 8–11 × 2–5-locular, 36–53 × 15–22 µm. CHEMISTRY: Stictic acid. |
